Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026

PaceIntel (ABN 21 886 209 100) is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following personal information when you use PaceIntel:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and display name, provided when you create an account.
  • Subscription and billing data — your subscription plan, billing status, and payment history. Full credit card details are processed and stored by our payment provider, Stripe, and are never held on PaceIntel servers.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction with the service, collected to improve the product experience.
  • Device and browser information — IP address, browser type, and operating system, collected automatically through standard web server logs.

We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, such as health information, political opinions, or criminal records.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Provide and manage your PaceIntel subscription and account.
  • Process payments and manage billing through Stripe.
  • Send transactional emails related to your account, subscription, or service changes.
  • Send occasional product updates or announcements (you can opt out at any time).
  • Improve the service, analyse usage patterns, and fix technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We will not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the service without your consent.

3. Cookies and Analytics

PaceIntel uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. These are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

We may use analytics tools to understand how the service is used. Analytics data is collected in aggregate and does not identify individual users. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share personal information with the following third-party providers, solely for the purposes of operating the service:

  • Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data under its own PCI-compliant security standards. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — for database, authentication, and website hosting. Data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Communications and Marketing

We may send you emails related to your account (such as subscription confirmations and billing receipts) and occasional product updates.

You can unsubscribe from non-essential communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us directly. Transactional emails related to your account and billing cannot be opted out of while your subscription is active.

We comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and will not send unsolicited commercial messages without your consent.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your personal information is stored on secure servers with access controls, encryption in transit (TLS), and encryption at rest. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, modification, disclosure, or destruction.

While we implement industry-standard security measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Aggregated, non-identifying data (such as overall service statistics) may be retained indefinitely.

8. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction — request correction of any personal information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
  • Complaint — lodge a complaint if you believe your privacy has been breached.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the details below. We will respond to access and correction requests within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Cross-Border Disclosure

Some of our third-party service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.

10. Children

PaceIntel is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
